GEICO | BELIEVE IT - GREAT BIG STORY

As a continuation of Geico’s “Believe It” campaign, the main premise is to align with content that you had to see in order to believe it. To celebrate the Halloween spirit, I pre-interviewed and pre-produced the storyline for Living in the House from Halloween, a story about a guy, Kenny Caperton loves Halloween, both the holiday and the movie.

In fact, he loves it so much he built his house to be an ode to Halloween. When Kenny was 26, he visited the actual Myers house in Pasadena and was inspired to build his house as a replica of the iconic set. He did extensive research, contacting the City Hall, interviewing the production designer and of course, watching the film over and over and over again. Caperton drew all the plans himself and made his dream a reality.

He has now been living in the house for over a decade, and loves sharing it with fans every October.  Join us in this Great Big Story to meet the man who’s love for Halloween inspired him to live it out every day.

Most of us grew up terrified of Michael Myers, the masked murderer from the movie "Halloween." The idea of living in his house sounds like our worst nightmare. But for Kenny Caperton, that's home. The "Halloween" mega fan poured his passion for the 1978 horror film into building a replica of Myers's house in Hillsborough, North Carolina.
